Gates will be open to the public from 8.00am to 10.00pm on Friday, 16th May, 2008 and from 8.00am to 10.30pm on Saturday, 17th May, 2008.

The Official Opening is scheduled to be held at 1.00pm Friday, 16th May, 2008.

Parking:

Ringside Reserve Car Parking can be reserved at a cost of $10.00 per day.  Car parks within the showgrounds, other than those situated around the main ring are free.

Refreshments are available from: "The Eatery" (providing hot meals, cakes, sandwiches, snacks, tea and coffee), the Softdrink Stall, Lions Bar, Rotary Bar, Apex Burgers and stalls situated in Sideshow Alley.

 

Trade Sites:

If you would like to book a commercial site for the 2008 show please complete the Trade Space Application Form and return with the appropriate fees.

 

The Callide Valley Agricultural and Pastoral Society Inc is committed to providing a safe, healthy and environmentally acceptable Showgrounds for all stakeholders. We maintain an effective health and safety program and endeavour to comply with all statutory and Common Law requirements.

 

All competitors and exhibitors have a "Duty of Care" to avoid exposing themselves or other people to situations that could lead to injury.


Applicants must include a site proposal and all applications will be assessed according to the following criteria:

  • List of products/services and price list.

  • The relevance of the product/service to theming.

  • How your product/service will interest Show patrons (interactive displays are encouraged).

  • The probability of the same or similar product/service being offered by other licensees.

The Callide Valley Agricultural And Pastoral Society Inc. reserves the right to reject any proposals and its decision will be final.

 

Show Office:

The Secretary ' s Office is open at the Biloela Showgrounds each WEDNESDAY DURING THE YEAR between the hours of 10.00 am and 2.00 pm excepting January.

 

The Secretary ' s Office will be open at the Biloela Showgrounds from the 28th April, until the Show, and after the Show from Monday, 19th May until Friday, 23rd May, 2008, the office will be open from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.

 

This Show Is Part Of Your Community . . .

Why not get into the community spirit and join the Show Committee or offer your help with the various tasks around the grounds, in the pavilions, etc. Any assistance, no matter how small, helps!! Enquiries should be directed to the Show Secretary.

 

 

Show Highlights

The 2008 Callide Valley Show Program is jammed pack with live entertainment, displays, demonstrations and activities to please and excite every member of the family.

This year's event will see the staging of the Ute Muster and the high energy Silver Spike Competition.

 

 

Crowds will also be pleased to see that some of the popular events including the Rodeo, Lolly Drops, Crash-o-rama and the Fireworks finale have been retained.

Plus . . . Side Show Alley, the Pavilions and Trade Stalls will add to the carnival atmosphere.
